Bio

Shawn Pfautsch is a Chicago-based actor, writer and musician.  He is a founding company member of The House Theatre of Chicago performing in over a dozen plays during its ten year history, including all three incarnations of Death and Harry Houdini (Theo, Dr. Lynn).  Also at The House: Cyrano (Cyrano de Bergerac), Thieves Like Us (Chickamaw) and The Sparrow (Mr. Christopher) at the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami.

As a company member of Lakeside Shakespeare, Shawn has appeared in: Henry V (Henry V), Loves Labors Lost (King of Navarre), As You Like It (Oliver/Amiens), and King Lear (Edmund).

Other stage credits include: Steppenwolf (Theatrical Essays), The Hypocrites (Pirates of Penzance), Signal Ensemble (Old Wicked Songs), Dallas Theater Center (South Pacific).

Two of Shawn’s full-length plays have been produced by The House Theatre of Chicago: Hatfield & McCoy and The Attempters.  His short plays and one-acts have been produced in Chicago as well as in Texas, Florida and Iowa.
